Vendre.ca Scholarship Program Terms and Conditions

  1. To be eligible for a Vendre.ca Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
    • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
    • Be a student planning to enroll, or continuing to be enrolled, in full-time studies in a diploma or degree program at a Canadian post-secondary school
    • Students who attend or will be attending a Canadian post-secondary school in a reduced course load due to a permanent disability, but who are still considered by their post-secondary institution to be full-time students, are also eligible. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded each school calendar year.
  2. Finalists will be required to provide:
    • Proof of citizenship (copy of citizenship, permanent residence card, birth certificate, passport)
    • Proof of full-time school enrolment
  3. The awarding of the scholarship is conditional upon the receipt of the above documents. If the requested information cannot be verified by the scholarship administrator, or it is otherwise determined that the applicant is not in compliance with the Scholarship Terms and Conditions, Vendre.ca reserves the right to disqualify the finalist’s application and forfeit their award.
  4. The Finalists chosen by the administrator may be required to provide references.
  5. Applications must be submitted online by September 30 each year. Submissions must be made online.
  6. Applications may be submitted in English or French, but the application must be in one language only.
  7. Our Scholarship Program administrator will be responsible for evaluating the written entries based on the following considerations/criteria:
    • Clarity of thought and communication of content
    • Use of personal experiences
  8. All final decisions will be made by Vendre.ca. Upon submission, all essay content becomes the property of Vendre.ca.
  9. By entering this Scholarship competition, you agree to consent to the use of your name, city, province or territory of residence, and photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by Vendre.ca in respect of the Scholarship Program.
  10. By entering this Scholarship competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, the records of Vendre.ca, and the decisions of the Scholarship competition judges, whose records and decisions shall be deemed final, conclusive, and binding in all matters.
  11. You certify that all the information provided on this application form and in all the accompanying documents is true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge. You understand that the provision of false information will render you ineligible for this scholarship.
  12. By submitting this Scholarship application, you hereby authorize Vendre.ca and its employees, agents, contractors, and those of its affiliates to release any information provided in or relating to your Scholarship application to its representatives, the scholarship judges, and their respective representatives who need to know such information for purposes of administering and promoting this program. The selection committee will use the information only for purposes of evaluating your scholarship application.
  13. You hereby authorize third parties, such as educational institutions, to release information required for the Vendre.ca Scholarship Program, to the administrators, and their respective representatives who need to know such information for purposes of administering the Vendre.ca Scholarship Program. This information may include personal evaluations and verification of student information.
  14. You understand and agree that Vendre.ca will use information gathered in connection with scholarship applications in aggregate and anonymous form for reporting and statistical purposes. The aggregate and anonymous information may also be used for the Scholarship Program publicity or promotional purposes.
  15. In the event that you are a Scholarship recipient, you grant to Vendre.ca the right to use your name, city and province of residence, likeness, post-secondary program name, and any direct quotes made by you in respect to the Scholarship Program for publicity purposes and without further compensation.
  16. Recipients must inform themselves as to the tax consequences of receiving a scholarship.
  17. The definition of "full-time" student status and “reduced course load” is determined by the applicable post-secondary institution.
  18. Vendre.ca reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, amend, or cancel this Scholarship program at any time without individual notice.
